Please be aware this is a pipe not a hose, it is designed for punching and fitting connectors into and is usually installed with saddle clamps, hold down stakes or at shallow depth. 13mm is the inner dimension and accepts all main brand 13mm fittings including Hozelock, Antelco and DN16 generic fittings. This LDPE pipe is not suitable for deep installation and should NOT be used to carry human drinking water. This low density polyethylene pipe is a thin walled pipe that is great for domestic and commercial irrigation systems. The pipe is flexible, UV stabilised and will resist damage from frost during the winter months, but you should be sure to drain the pipe as expanding water will cause damage. This pipe can be punctured with a hole punch for off-taking to irrigation. Works with all of our 13mm fittings. For further confidence in systems that are expected to be left unattended day after day, we recommend using our Antelco ratchet safety clips for an extra secure fit. Please note: This pipe is supplied in the exact coil length you specify except where a length greater than 250 meters is ordered in which case coils of 250 meters will be supplied with the surplus separately. Working in cold temperatures : LDPE pipe can be inflexible and difficult to handle in cold weather. We recommend that installation is best done in temperatures above 10C, the warmer the better. LDPE pipe is more inclined to kink and split when handled roughly in freezing temperatures.  Pipe and length is accurate to within 5%. Whilst we only charge 99p for a sample of this pipe, just ask for sample when you place an order with any of our products and we will happily include a piece, free of charge.
